The top pic here is initial routing for the pickup.  Turns out, I was too far away from the pick up.  So I had to move it closer. 

Fortunately, it does not show from the outside.

I did use a chisel for this as I have more control over the chisel than I do free handing with a router.

I experimented with creating my dye/stain colors using aniline dyes.  They did not work for me, though the orange might work for a Gretsch type color, or clear orange.

The last photo on the previous page is the color I went with, off the shelf.  No custom nothing.

The pix don’t do a good job showing string alignment.  But it is much better than this.

All I have left to now is shoot a finish.

So this should be done within the next two weeks or so.
